The first steps…

I’m delighted to share that this week I’ve just partnered with FriesenPress to bring my debut travel memoir to market! This is a massive step for me. What started as a series of journal entries during my trip to Nepal last year, and later became a coffee table book, is now what I hope will be a frank and humorous look at the most amazing journey I’ve ever taken.

It’s taken over a year of work, and I have to thank my wife Nancy, first reader, constant editor and sounding board. Without her, I wouldn’t have got this far. But, this week is the beginning of another long phase before the book will be available. As I’m learning, the publishing process is detailed and thorough—and rightly so. If the planets align, Thin Air and Good Intentions could be on the shelves in time for Christmas, we’ll just have to wait and see.

If you’d like to receive unique insights into the progress of the book, and possibly a few sneak previews, please use the Contact form and subscribe. I’d love to have you along for this particular journey!
